Prepare for Your Visit

Welcome! For returning visitors, a few things have changed…

Lougheed House National & Provincial Historic Site reopened on August 15th and we look forward to welcoming you! We have been working hard on:
– new safety protocols for all who visit
– new public admission hours with online ticketing and timed ticketed entry
– contactless payment options
– new signage and new ways to experience Lougheed House
– mandatory masks

Our Restaurant and Shop are also reopening.

We are excited to show you what’s new, all of which has been done with your safety and enjoyment of Lougheed House in mind.

Before Your Visit

Entry to the museum is for a one-hour time slot so safe visitor capacity can be maintained. Make sure to book your online ticket here. This also applies to Lougheed House Conservation Society members and Heritage Pass holders.

Bring your ticket either printed out or on your personal smart device.

We still offer limited guided group tours within our pandemic protocols. Maximum of six people per group. Larger group and school visits are currently not possible.

Each visitor (including restaurant patrons) is required to complete the Guest Wellness Screening Questionnaire the same day as your visit and to present it to Admissions staff upon entry to the House. All information is kept confidential and is to comply with Alberta Health Services protocol for contact tracing if needed.

Face masks, please! As per the City of Calgary Bylaw, be sure to bring a face mask. If you are a person that is mask exempt by being health compromised, you may wish to postpone your visit until conditions improve for your health concerns. Children under 2 years will be granted entry without a face mask.

Restaurant patrons must wear a mask upon entry to the House, when leaving their table for personal activities, and exit of the restaurant area. While dining only, masks may be removed. Face masks are available for purchase from the Shop. Soon individual hand sanitizer will also be available for purchase.

Our Guest Services Coordinator, Robyn, eagerly awaits to welcome you for your visit.

When you visit

Follow the one way route during your visit, starting in Admissions. This will take you on a journey through the whole House and exhibitions. Use the floor and signage in black frames to assist you. Please note some rooms have limited access.

If you need to extend your visit, please connect with Guest Services in person or by using our new intercom located on the second floor in the Restoration room and on the Ballroom level just outside the elevator.

Physical distancing of 2m/6ft is to be respected throughout the House and gardens.

We have a new Virtual House Tour for you to enjoy. Right now we don’t have WiFi access, so please access the tour on your own device/network: CLIO – Lougheed House

The museum is accessible to mobility scooters, wheelchairs, and service dogs. And remember … try to avoid bringing large bags and backpacks to prevent overcrowding.

We can’t wait to see you and hope you enjoy your visit to Lougheed House National & Provincial Historic site!
